Chair’s Message
Welcome to the official webpage of the IEEE Kharagpur Section! The Section is a part of the IEEE India Council (within IEEE Region 10, transitioning to Region 11 from 2028). Based at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur), the Section boasts a distinguished legacy spanning over four decades.
Currently, the IEEE Kharagpur Section comprises nearly 500 members, along with 3 technical chapters, 2 affinity groups, 2 student branches—including the Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) Student Branch—and 7 student branch chapters, 2 of which are based at HIT. Over the years, the Section, its organizational units, and its members have earned numerous IEEE accolades and have made a meaningful impact on the professional journeys of thousands of individuals, both members and non-members.
